The California Bluegrass Association was established at a 501(c)3 non-profit in 1974 to foster and cultivate the preservation and enjoyment of Bluegrass, Old-time, gospel, and traditional instrumental and vocal music of the United States. Since 1976, CBA has produced the Father's Day Bluegrass Festival each year at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, one of the largest and most renowned traditional music festivals on the West Coast.
